Every Thanksgiving there are people and sometimes families that won’t have a warm cooked turkey to eat. For over a decade individuals have come together the morning of Thanksgiving to be a part of an annual event called Gobble Gobble Give to address these unfortunate misgivings by receiving and distributing donated turkeys, canned foods, home cooked meals, tooth brush kits, and clothes to members of the homeless in their respected areas.
Over 3000 homeless nationwide have been fed and supplied with clothing and toothbrush kits in areas from coast to coast. They have multiple locations for you to be a part of giving back to the community, three of which are within driving distance from Cypress College. There are branches of the event happening in Santa Ana using the Gypsy Den as a base of operations, and in the Los Angeles there are two locations in the area in Echo Park at the Echoplex on Sunset Blvd and in Santa Monica basing out of The Raven Spa located on Pier Ave. The other locations across the country are based out of Nashville, Tennessee, Austin, Texas, Las Vegas, Nevada, and New York, New York, so if you are visiting any of those areas to spend time with your family this Thanksgiving, lend a hand and help feed a family or an individual alone on this gathering holiday.
