With the holiday season underway, students and their families can look forward to activities to participate in around Cypress and the surrounding cities.
The City of Cypress is hosting its annual Holiday and Tree Lighting on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, at 6 p.m. The event will take place at Civic Center Green on the corner of Orange Ave. and Grindlay St.
According to the City of Cypress website, the evening will include: performances from local schools, a visit from Santa and Mrs.Claus, train rides, games, holiday crafts and activities, letters to Santa, and cards to veterans
Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided by the city of Cypress, and hot dogs and water will be provided by Kiwanis of Cypress while supplies last.
Kiwanis International is a global community of clubs, members and partners dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time. According to the Kiwanis website, the primary focus of Kiwanis is to make the lives of children better; they take more of a holistic view of service.
