Across the street from Cypress College at 5800 Lincoln Ave. lies Home Depot where every Tuesday evening at 5, people gather to enjoy all different types of street food.
From 5 to 9 o’clock, food truck vendors with delicious street food park their vibrant trucks facing Lincoln Ave. for customers to come and mingle trying all different types of great food. Anything from classic sliders, Korean infused tacos, lobster everything, hotdog infusion, and many more.
Some of these trucks include popular Kogi BBQ, Sexy Burger, Lobsta Truck, Belly BombZ, Dogzilla, California Grill Truck, Mess Hall Canteen, Tropical Shave Ice, Scooter’s Italian Ice and more.
On May 19, Street Food Tuesday is celebrating their three-year anniversary of gathering at Home Depot in Cypress. The Dos Chino Food Truck said, on their Facebook page, “It has been an awesome 3 years at Home Depot…we need to especially give thanks to the City of Cypress, the surrounding families, students, local businesses, and even tourists who have been so kind to support such a unique and fun weekly community dining destination. Let’s continue to weave this into our local culture so even more people around the world know about our charming little city.”
Street Food Tuesdays is a great way to gather families and friends and enjoy great food from all different vendors. Whether you are looking just for dessert, craving a massive meal, or a snack, it’s the place to go. Parking in the Home Depot parking lot is plentiful and tailgating is the normal. Families gather with lawn chairs and coolers eating in the parking lot together.
