Looking for a new cafe to try out? Classic Flowers and Confections is the place.
Classics Flowers and Confections, located at 10069 Valley View St, is a hidden gem in Cypress. Walking into the shop, it looks like just a normal flower shop. But it is not just a normal flower shop, there’s also a cafe attached.
They have a small variety of treats to choose from. From a hand pie, to french macroons, to a dossant. A dossant is “our very own creation of the hybrid doughnut and croissant pastry.” The dossants come in flavors such as strawberry, blueberry, cinnamon sugar, chocolate, and banana nutella.
Aside from sweets, they also offer a chicken pot pie, a variety of different salads, some breakfast food, and different sandwiches.
“If a class is canceled, I’ll go down the street and pick up something up for lunch.” said Taryn Williams, 20, Nursing major.
They also offer an assortment of different teas. These flavors are fruity, black, white, or green tea and are offered either iced or hot.
“I had a passion iced tea with my lunch and it was really refreshing. I would recommend it.” said Rachel Allnut, 24, Accounting major.
The florist shop is also a hit with customers. From prices being as low as $25 for a bouquet of flowers. “If I need flowers, this is the first place I’ll go.” said Kaity Vancura, 23, Business major.
