While most activities are expensive for a college student’s budget, we have the options to do some activities for free.
“Last summer, I was able to see one my favorite country artist for free and it was one of the best concerts I had ever been too.” said Caitee Bolt-Chambers, 21, Secondary Education major.
With websites like 1iota.com, tvtickets.com, and on-camera-audiences.com, it’s been made easy to go out and see new shows for free! “When me and my friends are bored we often look on tvtickets.com to see if there’s a tv taping, that is not sold out, for our favorite shows,” said Morgan McNair, 19, Communications major.
With the average college student spending anywhere from $60 to $80 a month on entertainment reasons, a lot of this adds up and makes going out too expensive. Concert tickets average anywhere from $15 to $75 per ticket, depending on the artist and venue. Sporting events are roughly around the same price. Going to an amusement park, such as Disneyland, cost $92 for one day, one park.
“As much as I would love to go to Disneyland, I just can’t afford it.” said Daisy Weeks, 25, Nursing major.
