According to court records, the suspect Ian Campos, entered a non-guilty plea for three counts of sexual battery, two counts of battery, one count of assault with intent to commit sexual offense, and one count of kidnapping to commit robbery, rape, oral copulation, or sodomy on Oct. 15. There is no bond or cash bail bond for his case, according to court records.
Campos is being represented by Public Defenders Rosalynn Le, Joshua Doddridge, Erin Lindquist, and Larry Joe Lindquist, and Deputy District Attorney Sean Patrick Riordan represents the people.
In September 2024, three female students at Cypress College reported that they were assaulted on school grounds by a man, who was later identified as 38-year-old Campos.
Director of Campus Communications, Marc. S Posner sent out an email later on in the month addressing the incidents, allowing students to become aware of the events that took place. Through these emails, students were able to receive the description of the suspect and other details from the reports made.
The Cypress Police Department arrested Campos on Sept. 25, 2024, on the charge of sexual assault, and he was arraigned on Sept. 30, 2024. Campos’s last Preliminary Hearing was on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025.
