Cypress College will be celebrating the Lunar New Year. This year’s celebration is a collaboration between the Lunar New Year Planning Committee and the APIDA Resource Center. The APIDA Club has organized various cultural events highlighting both Pacific Islander and Desi traditions in the past. This year’s event will feature live cultural performances, arts and crafts, food, music, and giveaways.
The event is open to all students, staff, and faculty at Cypress College, and attendees are encouraged to join in the celebration.
The Lunar New Year celebration will take place in front of the FASS Building on Wednesday, February 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Joey Cuenga, one of the coordinators for APIDA, said, “Lunar New Year celebration is an opportunity for us to share the beautiful cultures of the APIDA community.”
