The Kush Bowl, located at 5890 Lincoln Ave in Cypress, has been a hot spot to a lot of students at Cypress College. The Kush Bowl’s Asian Fusion genre of food specializes in teriyaki bowls and kebabs, and it has over a dozen tasty meals to chose from.
Business owner Jay Y., “dreamed of dedicating to the community through good food, charity and fundraising.”
Jay’s idea is to create freshly cooked restaurant quality dishes, in take out style time, at an affordable price.
“The word ‘kush’ means ‘happy’ and our goal is to prepare fresh made to order dishes,” he said.
Kush Bowl cashier, Carol Lenyes, 24, gives a little insight on the business.
“We have been open for about 6 years now,” she said. “Business is always booming when students are attending Cypress. Most of our customers are Cypress College students.”
“I highly recommend the wake n bake breakfast sliders,” said Janae Brown, 21, accounting major. “It’s like heaven in your mouth.”
“I always come here,” said Marcus Seepersad, 27. “The food is great and the customer service never disappoints. Make sure to ask for a stamp card. I always order the bubba kush bowl which is delicious. All the employees are down to earth and I’ve never had an issue coming here.”
Kush Bowl currently has promotions going on everyday.
