This spring the Cypress College Theatre Arts Department presents Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights. The show is a high-energy story or Usnavi, the child of immigrants of the Dominican Republic, who works as a store owner in Washington Heights, New York, and watches over the joys and heartbreaks of his tight-knit community, where everyone has a dream.
From the creator of Broadway’s Hamilton, this Tony-Winning show features a score that is a fusion of classic musical theatre, as well as Latin and Hip Hop. The show’s opening night is Mar. 6, 2020 and it will run for two weekends. Tickets can be purchased online at www.CypressCollegeTheatre.com.
