Celebrities on and off the court.
Celebrities involved with The Hollywood Knights basketball team took to the court against the teachers and staff members of Santiago High School for a charity basketball game March 15th in Corona.
According to The Hollywood Knights website, the basketball team has been around since 1978 and has since raised millions of dollars for different charities. Some of the celebrities that played in the game included Tyler Hoechlin from Teen Wolf, Alexander DeLeon from the band The Cab, Carlos Pena from the boy band Big Time Rush, and Manny Streetz from 102.7 KIIS FM just to name a few.
With close to one thousand fans in attendance of the game, excitement of seeing these celebrities playing a basketball game filled the air.
Denise Olmos, 25, human services major said, “Being able to see celebrities off the stage and out from behind the cameras was refreshing.”
Kelli Coyne, 20, photography major said, “Seeing the crowd excited and seeing the celebrities interact with us was really enjoyable.”
Instead of fans watching Hoechlin do back-flips like he does on Teen Wolf, they can watch him shoot baskets and twerk while on the court. In a post-game conversation, DeLeon said “If you come to the games, you can’t expect to see a happy Alex.”
