Wrap Up
As I mentioned in the beginning of this article, the OC Auto Show had more to offer than I could conceivably write in one article. This show featured the North American debuts of new cars such as the Mazda3, Nissan Rogue and Mercedes-Benz S-Class, as well as the west coast debuts of the 2015 GMC Yukon and Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid. Also, Jeep was back with their “Camp Jeep”, in which you could test drive a Jeep over rough terrain or up a steep incline; kids were provided their own such area with smaller versions of Jeeps to drive around. And what auto show would be complete without a few special edition cars? I rocked out with the 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo DJ REMIX Lab Chrome, geeked-out with the Green Lantern and Aquaman edition Kia cars, and just laughed-out-loud with the Spongebob Toyota Highlander.
In conclusion the 2013 OC Auto Show was a cavalcade of wonderment filled with modern and future tech, concepts and historical cars, and eager sales reps as far as the eye could see. While not a single one of those reps would agree to go on-record with statements or opinions, the show floor felt transparent enough to make the conclusions stated above. Overall it was a great experience and I was thrilled to cover it.
