The Vocal Solo Concert at Cypress College will showcase the incredible talents of the college’s music and choir students. The event will be held as a fundraiser to support both classes. Students will be performing a variety of solo pieces, creating an inspiring atmosphere that highlights their dedication and passion for music.
The concert is organized by students Jonathan Soto, Roman Gomez, Olive Barry Brown, Adriana Dorantes, and Tahlia Pan. Together, they demonstrate great collaboration and teamwork throughout the process. The group worked closely together to create the best experience for the upcoming performance . Although, while facing challenges when it came to organizing the auditions, scheduling and coordination, they managed to overcome them through effective communication. When asked about future improvements for the concert, Tahlia Pan said “We hope to be more prepared next time since this semester’s planning was very last-minute.” The customary committee was not available, so they had to come up with a new process, causing some delays. They have seen some improvement compared to the first run-down in organizing the upcoming performance.
Despite these difficulties, the group’s efforts paid off. The concert promises a dynamic show with performances spanning multiple genres, from rock and pop to rap and musical theater hits like “Mamma Mia!” Each performer brings their own unique style to the stage, creating a concert that truly offers something for everyone.
As for helping raise funds for the music department, they have guaranteed that snacks will be sold and hope everyone comes to enjoy and support the show.
The Vocal Solo Concert takes place at Cypress College on October 15 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets and more details can be found at https://www.cypresscollege.edu/event/vocal-solo-concert/
Students invite the community to join them for an evening of music, talent, and support for the college’s music program.
