Cypress College is collaborating with American College of Surgeons for a Stop the Bleed Training where students can learn life saving tips.
The Stop the Bleed Training is a free opportunity to learn how to address life-threatening bleeding and how to act quickly. The training is split into two sections: a lecture and hands-on practice. During this training, participants will learn how to apply pressure, pack a wound, and use a tourniquet.
Training will be held at CCPLX bldg room 419, on April 11, 2025. Those who attend any training session during the Spring semester will be entered into a raffle to win their own STB kits which include a instructional booklet, tourniquets for major bleeds, gauze, gloves, and a HyFin Compact Chest Seal.
