(Cypress College Health Center)
In the current era of remote learning, the Cypress College Health Center has been changing its resources to accommodate students during this unprecedented time.
Weekly online wellness classes are now offered by the Health Center to monitor and help students who have been experiencing physical and mental health problems.
As stated on the Cypress College Health Center website, the “Cypress Wellness Collaborative, a wellness platform for our campus community, will offer integrative wellness practices; resource materials; and discussions reflecting on the importance of health, well-being, and lifestyle in our collective journey toward a more wholesome and sustainable future.”
All classes and workshops are available to all students, faculty, and staff. For more information visit the “Events” tab on the Cypress College website.
Another resource the Health Center is offering is, “Let’s Talk” Drop-In Mental Health and Wellness Sessions.
The sessions are moderated by mental health counselors according to the Health Center’s website. The classes are to help students discuss what they are experiencing as well as listen and support their peers.
To schedule a session, students can RSVP to Krista Camacho-Chavez at kchavez-camacho@cypresscollege.edu. Sessions are available Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m – 10 a.m. and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m – 5:00 p.m.
