The purpose of the Cypress College Business and Economics Club is to unite business and economics majors to facilitate their interests. It provides students an opportunity to gain access to the business world.
The Business and Economics Club meets once a month in the Humanities building, room 301 or 305. The current president of the Business and Economics Club is Kailey Vu.
Some events that the Business and Economics Club participate in include guest keynote speakers, campus tours of UCs and CSUs, and tours of major headquarters like Quicksilver.
Last semester a CEO of an investment management company spoke to the students, they often have business professionals and restaurateurs speak to the students to give a taste of the business world. Abe Kim, a Business Club member said, “We had a Chapman University Discover Day that really showed me what college life at a great business school could potentially be like.”
The Businesses and Economics club is involved with lots of activities with other clubs as well as community service on and off campus. There are many benefits of the Business and Economics club that can increase to a successful college experience.
