Women’s volleyball sprints past their opponents and women’s soccer breaks a tie score for the season, while men’s soccer attempts to gain a lead.
Cypress College’s women’s volleyball team began the season winning four games out of six, the women’s soccer team swept their way to the lead after winning their last game, and the men’s soccer team is on their way to a second win of the season, according to the Cypress Charger’s website.
The women’s volleyball team succeeded in the seventh week of the season, with four wins and two losses. The opening two games revealed the player’s talents when they defeated Pasadena City, 3-1, and San Diego Mesa, 3-0, on Sept. 1. The Charger’s took a loss during their first home game against El Camino on Sept. 5 with the score of 3-0, but gained enough momentum to defeat Mt. San Antonio two days later with the score 3-1.
The women’s soccer team has pulled their way out of a tie after their last game yesterday vs. Norco with a score of 3-0, bringing their overall score to 3-2-1. The team lost the first game, tied the next, and then had two straight wins on Sept. 4 and Sept. 7 against Southwestern, 4-1, and Foothill, 4-0.
The men’s soccer team is working for a second win for their season after four losses so far. After their win against Glendale on Aug. 31, with a final score of 6-3, the athletes are preparing for their next win as their overall score for the season so far is 1-4.
