Parking permit enforcement will officially begin on Wednesday, Feb. 18, students planning to park on campus are required to purchase a parking permit.
Permits can be purchased for $40 through the student registration on MyGateway or in person at the Student Center. Once purchased, parking permits must be displayed inside the vehicle on the lower driver’s side of the windshield.
Students who register their vehicle by Friday, Feb. 6, will have their permit mailed directly to them. However, vehicles registered after Saturday, Feb. 7, must pick up their permits in person at the campus safety office. If students have not received their parking permits by Wednesday, Feb 18, they will need to visit the campus safety office for assistance.
For those who need temporary parking, one-day parking permits are available for purchase via the PayByPhone app by scanning a QR code that can be found around the parking lot.
The app can also be downloaded from the Google Play Store and the Apple Store. One-Day parking permits cost $3, and are valid until 11:59 p.m. on the day they were purchased. A one-day parking permit issued to a vehicle cannot be shared. Any vehicle found using a permit issued to another vehicle will receive a parking citation.
Students who fail to register a vehicle and display the proper permit will receive a parking citation. Fines for parking violations range from $37 to $290 depending on the nature of the offense.
Students who need to pay a citation can submit an appeal online or by calling (800) 989-2058.
However, if a citation is not addressed and paid in a timely manner, the fine will double.
