With Mother’s Day around the corner, be sure to plan ahead as we celebrate this day to show extra appreciation to all the amazing mother’s in our lives.
Mother’s day is one of the most celebrated days throughout the world, and in the U.S it is always celebrated on the second Sunday of May. We take the time to not only recognize our moms, but also the extended family. This may include people such as grandmothers, aunts, stepmothers, and any other mother figures, as we look at ways to show them some extra love.
1. Cook Breakfast or Lunch
Starting off the day with a surprise breakfast such as pancakes or french toast with a side of eggs and bacon will bring a smile to mom’s face. They are usually the ones who will wake up early and make breakfast for the family or after a long day at work will still come home to cook lunch or dinner, no matter how tired they are. A simple meal can go a long way and it will be appreciated.
2. Give Her Flowers and A Card
Flowers are one of the most traditional gifts to give mom on Mother’s Day. Every mom loves having flowers around the house as they give a pleasant look because of their bright colors and fragrance. Along with the flowers, a nice Mother’s Day card would be a perfect gift. In the card you can write how much she is loved and appreciated, and how thankful you are for everything she has done.
3. Spend The Day Outdoors
You can use this day to spend the entire day with mom and do things you haven’t done or have always wanted to do together. The two of you can go on a hike together, go to the movies, or take go out to eat. If you feel like staying home, going through old family photos would be a fun way to spend time as you can reminisce on all the good times you’ve had.
Take the time to make this day as special and as memorable for her. Mother’s deserve to be loved and appreciated not only on Mother’s Day, but every chance you get. They have raised you, sacrificed for you, and have shown unconditional love.
