The lady Chargers have a trio of sports running this season — but none have opened their respective seasons at a breakneck pace like the women’s soccer team has. Through their first five games, they’ve only allowed two goals while outscoring their opponents 12-2.
Men’s soccer already kicked off their season in August, rattling off multiple wins en route to a 2019 campaign that can only be deemed as a positive one from the early going. Their most convincing wins coming at home against the Citrus Owls in the home opener and on the road vs. Glendale. The Chargers won both games by a combined score of 7-0.
Meanwhile, men’s water polo has been flirting with a relatively stagnant start to their season. Their biggest win of the season also coming against Citrus.
If you’ve happened to take a stroll through GYM II lately, there’s a good chance you’ve heard the work that the women’s volleyball team is putting in. Since opening their season in August, they’ve repeated the benefits of the aforementioned work, rattling off wins in three of their first four games.
The women’s water polo team opens their season on Wednesday. Sep. 18. They’re hoping to improve on a 14-8 overall record from a season ago in which they finished with a 2-5 record in conference play.
