After a long summer break, Cypress College welcomes new and returning students with new programs and services this fall semester.
The college has introduced several new benefits to students in hopes of providing students with the support to take on another semester.
Here are the services that you need to know about:
The Charger Book Pass
Upon registering for one or more courses at Cypress College, students are automatically enrolled in the Charger Book Pass Program. The one-year program allows for all of a student’s required textbook-related course materials to be covered for $100 or less. The balance will show in each student’s account on Sept. 6, when the amount is due immediately. Learn more about the program on the Charger Book Pass page on the Cypress College Website.
The Charger Food Pass
Students are provided with just $12 a day to purchase breakfast, lunch, or both meals at the Charger Cafe, unlike the past two semesters where both meals were free for students. In order to utilize the pass, you must be a current student with a valid student ID.
The Charger Bus Pass
Though the Charger Bus Pass is not new itself, it is a part of the new Cypress All-Access Passport that covers the book and food pass as well. To access your bus pass, download the OC Bus app, create an account with your Cypress College preferred email, and you will be provided with unlimited rides on OC Bus fixed local routes throughout the semester.
New Lactation spaces for breastfeeding parents
Located in the Student Center, the Tech Ed II/Health Science Building, and the Cypress College Complex, the Mamava pods and lactation room are secluded nursing areas for breastfeeding students and staff on campus. The spaces include comfortable chairs and power outlets for students and staff in need.
The recently established programs and services are a testimony to Cypress College’s dedication and promise to aid students in all areas while attending the college.
You can learn more about the listed benefits on the Cypress College Website. Buen Cypress!
