The women’s soccer team is continuing their push for a State Championship, while the other sports teams on campus suffered a disappointing end to their season.
The women’s soccer team has defeated three teams in the postseason so far, beating Desert 4-0, Santa Monica 2-0, and Chaffey 3-1. They will host San Francisco on Friday, Dec. 6 in Sacramento, CA at 4:00 p.m. for a chance to go to the State Finals.
They are working to get back to the Championship for the second consecutive season. Last season, they fell short in their attempt to bring home the title. The State Finals will be on Sunday, Dec. 8. The men’s soccer team won on a penalty kick against Santa Ana after a 2-2 tie in regulation. They lost 3-1 in the second round against Long Beach City to end their season.
The men’s basketball team currently has a 6-3 record on the season, they will travel to Monterey for a tournament that will start on Thursday, Dec. 5 as they will play against Foothill at 7 p.m. They are coming off a 66-59 win against Long Beach City. The women’s basketball team currently has a record of 4-2 and will host their annual “Charger Classic” tournament from Friday, Dec. 6 to Sunday, Dec. 8. They are coming off a 65-56 loss to San Diego Mesa and will play Imperial Valley on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 4:00 p.m.
The men’s and women’s water polo and the women’s volleyball seasons came to an end but they will look forward to the Fall 2025 season. All teams will have plenty of new faces as many of their players will be graduating this spring and playing at a higher level.
With the spring season on the horizon, many teams who compete in the spring will look to make an impact on the season. Baseball, softball, golf, tennis, men’s and women’s swim and dive, and beach volleyball will all start their seasons in the spring.
