As October comes to a close, students are halfway through the Fall semester. The last day of the semester is Dec. 14 which is also the final day to file for the pass/no pass option for 16-week classes.
Registering for classes requires a few different steps and pre-registration to-dos. Students should stay informed when specific classes open up and what options best fit their schedule as soon as possible. Students must have no holds on their account to register. Any holds will not allow a student to register for any spring course.
Here are the steps to registering for the Spring semester:
Access myGateway: Log into Cypress College student portal using your student ID and password.
Check Registration Dates: Check emails and verify your assigned registration date. Everyone has different times for registration.
Browse class schedules: Use the online schedule of classes to find the courses you want or are interested in, and write down the CRN numbers.
Add Classes: When selecting classes select “Add or Drop Classes”
Review and confirm: Make sure to look over the classes you have selected and complete the registration process by clicking “complete registration”.
Some important reminders for students who are not already enrolled, if you are a new student you must apply to Cypress College first and complete the admissions procedures before registering for classes. Students are encouraged to meet with a counselor for help and discuss academic plans, career goals, and course selection. Be sure to check your financial aid eligibility to see if you qualify for any assistance with costs.
