The Cypress College Student Health and Wellness Center will be increasing access to health and wellness center products for students by introducing the Wellness Vending machine.
The Wellness Vending Machine is located on the first floor of the Library/Learning Resource Center and will be offering items such as male and female condoms, non-latex condoms, dental dams, menstrual cups, pregnancy tests, Plan-B, pads and tampons.
The vending machine will also provide some over-the-counter medication including Tylenol/Ibuprofen, Benadryl/Claritin, Antacids, and Band-Aids/Neosporin.
Items will have a minimum charge of $1 to support the Wellness Vending Machine and make it sustainable for future students.
The Cypress College Student Health and Wellness Center was selected by the California Community College Chancellor’s office to participate in the Wellness Vending Machine program.
In addition to the vending machine, students can access free drug test strips, regular condoms, menstrual products, and various over-the-counter medications at the Student Health & Wellness Center, located in the temporary Building 17 in Parking lot 4. The center is open Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wellness Vending Machines may differ in brand and/or variety as single dose items in the Health and Wellness Center.
The Wellness Vending Machine prices, items, and brands are subject to change.
Keep an eye out for the vending machine release date. The hours for the operation of the vending machine will be during library hours Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
