While most people flock to the pop culture mega-attractions of Comic-Con and Wonder-Con, there are still the hardcore geeks that make the trip out to smaller cons and events like the Long Beach Comic Expo. Being one of these geeks myself, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see what really goes down inside the more intimate halls of the Long Beach Convention center.
What I found pleasantly surprised me. Not only was this a nostalgic call-back to the days when SDCC was still a gathering of harcore fans of comics, it was a great place to find some choice vintage comics and unique merchandise.
