Campus Safety has made multiple changes to parking on campus for the Spring Semester.
Students who choose to park on campus must register their vehicle online through the Cypress College Online Parking Permit System. Once they register their vehicle, they will be allowed to print out a temporary parking permit until the official permit gets mailed to their address on file.
Similar to last semester, the cost for a parking permit will be $40. Permits will be available to purchase once a student completes their registration. Permits must be placed on the lower driver’s side on the windshield–inside the vehicle. Parking enforcement begins Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, and students must have their permits visible to avoid getting a citation.
Any vehicle without a displayed, valid permit may result in a parking citation. Fines range anywhere from $37 to $290, depending on the violation. You can find the parking fine list in the parking section on the Cypress College Website. Students who receive a parking citation must pay the fine or submit an appeal within 21 days from the date of the citation, or the fine will be doubled.
To submit an appeal, students can do it online in the parking section on the Cypress College website or call (800) 989-2058. Students can also purchase a one-day parking permit, which is $3 and valid until 11:59 p.m. on the day of purchase. This allows students to park in any student-marked parking space without the risk of a citation.
According to the website, the vehicle registration is now closed. For more information and FAQs you can visit the Parking section on the Cypress College website.
