Have you experienced theft at Cypress College? Have you been a hit-and-run victim in one of the campus’s several parking lots? If so, chances are you are not alone.
Cypress College Campus Safety has released its Public Safety log for March. Despite classes being paused for Spring Break, theft cases exceeded the previous two months’ numbers combined.
Below are all of the cases of theft that have occurred on campus thus far in 2024.

Theft (Technical Education 2)
Campus Safety Officers documented an incident in which property was taken.

Theft (Student Activities Center)
Campus Safety and Cypress Police Officers documented an incident in which an electric scooter was taken.

Theft (Parking Lot 9)
Campus Safety and Cypress Police Officers documented a theft from a parked vehicle in parking lot 9.

Vehicle Theft (Parking Lot 4)
Campus Safety and Cypress Police Officers documented an incident in which a vehicle was taken.

Grand Theft (Parking Lot 7)
Campus Safety Officers observed and detained two individuals who were stealing items from several backpacks. Cypress Police Officers also responded. All stolen property was recovered and returned to the owners.

Campus Safety Officers documented an incident in which a swap meet customer reported that property had been taken from their vehicle.
